Welcoming Autumn term 2023!
What an incredibly busy summer we have had! Introducing new classes has been so much fun for us, and as well as for the children. And suddenly the feeling of autumn is now here – time does fly by! We are really happy to see everyone returning to the classes for our new term. Another piece of good news is that we have now re-started Adult Drama classes.
Our Adult Drama classes, led by our tutor Helen Wells, take place every Thursday evening from 19:15 to 20:15 pm. Classes are charged at £6.00 per session, invoiced half termly in advance. If you think this is for you, we cannot wait to welcome you. The rest of our autumn term classes can be found here:

A NOTE FROM ZELDA… |
This week, we do an impromptu rendezvous with the founder of Limelight Theatre Company; Zelda Rolfe, and get to have a closer look at what she thinks of the summer LCM examination results. |
“I am so proud of all my students who have achieved wonderful results. Everyone has passed with distinction. We couldn’t be any happier!” – Zelda Rolfe
We also had a chance to speak with our Head Girl, Chloe Coleman, about the examination results, “Working with Zelda, picking out songs, and working towards each performance for my exam was such an enjoyable process. I am so proud of mine and everyone else’s results.”
Well done to Chloe for her Distinction and everyone else’s fantastic results!
Over the course of summer, we have had a fantastic time hosting a holiday club as part of the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme. During the summer holidays, parents often wonder how to keep their children engaged. BNHF has been the perfect place to spend time and let their children discover their creative selves. The programme ran from 24th July till 25th of August at the studios and some of our own students from Limelight Theatre Company helped us with tutoring the children.
We had lots of fun and exciting activities like drama, singing and games and there were around 15 to 20 kids attending our sessions every day. A yummy hot meal was also provided at lunchtime. The programme was sponsored by Norfolk County Council
We spoke with our drama tutor, Helen Wells, and our Head Girl, Chloe, about their experience with Big Norfolk Holiday Fun classes.
Helen says, “The club was great fun this summer. One of the highlights was the hula hoop session, where the children enjoyed creating their own routines.”
💚
Chloe says, “Children would come in each session nervous and timid and come out with beaming smiles and confidence from both the activities and making friends. Children had little to no experience in acting and musical theatre. Throughout the day, they would experience new practices and develop skills in a fun and interactive way. We found that children who had only booked one day, rebooked to come and be a part of the classes again. It was extremely rewarding to watch them grow as performers.”
Half term dates for the Autumn Term are Monday 23rd October to Saturday 28th October. During this week we will have a rehearsal schedule. More details will be out shortly.
I took my 4.5 year old Elsa obsessed daughter to see Limelight’s production of Frozen JR. at the Maddermarket and she was absolutely enthralled from start to finish. My heart leapt watching her face light up seeing her favourite film come to life in such a wonderful, exciting way. We both had an incredible time and she loved the fact that the cast were all children, making it that much more magical and relatable to her. Thank you so much for bringing her such joy and for making one of her first trips to the theatre so special.
