26/06/2018 Empower your mind with Nia at Limelight Studios

Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit.

Linda Evans, a local healthcare professional is bringing Nia to Limelight Studios this summer, with both one-hour classes and a three-hour workshop. Find out more about the workshop on Saturday 14th July here nia leaflet.

“Nia is a technique that starts with fitness whilst encompassing well-being of the whole self: body, mind, spirit and emotions.

All levels of fitness welcome, no Nia experience required! Bring a water bottle, towel or yoga mat, and loose-fitting, comfortable clothing you can move freely in.”

The hourly sessions will take place on Fridays, starting with Friday 29th June, then 20th July, 3rd & 24th August and 7th & 21st September.

These sessions are great for your wellbeing, so contact Linda for more information and to book your place.

…I went to see my granddaughter in the Limelight CATs production on Saturday the 1st June the matinee performance…

…The acting and singing standard from such a wide age range was so impressive, what struck me most was their professionalism in staying in character while just being a background extra! Fantastic I was closely watching every kitten on purpose, first-rate….

The costumes were first rate and the scenery what a simple but effective backdrop, well done the set designers. The makeup…wow …a work of art to perfection.

Please pass on my sincere congratulations to all who took part, there was not one person who let the side down and to use 40 children in singing dancing and acting showcased all their incredible abilities. Well done.
