With a successful production of Matilda earlier in 2022, we now turn our attention to our internal production of Cinderella And Rockerfella. Read on to find our more about the audition, rehearsal dates and show dates.
All about our next production
Cinderella and Rockerfella is a modern, panto-style reworking of the classic tale with all the traditional characters: downtrodden Cinderella, Rockerfella (formerly known as Prince Charming), Buttons, the Ugly Sisters, and the Fairy Godmother, together with a selection of additional characters, from music managers and paparazzi to good and bad fairies – all placed in a world of fame and celebrity. The script is wonderfully comical and contains fabulous songs.
Audition Date
Auditions will be at Limelight Studios on Saturday September, staring at 2.30pm and finishing at 4.30pm. Please arrive promptly. To register, please complete this Google form here.
Audition Preparation.
Please memorise an acting monologue to perform at the audition. It should last a minimum of two minutes and maximum of three. You can choose to play any Cinderella pantomime character regardless of gender. The monologue can be from a Cinderella film you have seen, a book or script you have read. Alternatively, you can write your own monologue.
In addition to performing your monologue you will be expected to take part in a variety of group drama exercises and read from a script.
What to wear / bring at the audition
Please wear loose clothing in which you can move – Limelight uniform would be ideal. Jazz shoes or trainers should be worn. Please bring a water bottle. Snacks will be available from the Café.
Rehearsals
Before auditioning, please make sure that you are fully committed to attending ALL the rehearsals on a Saturday afternoon and during half-term. There may also be extra rehearsals towards the performance date. Rehearsals will be charged at £5.00 per session.

- Dec 3rd tech / dress 14.30-18.30hrs
Stage Crew
We would welcome any help with backstage roles. Whether you can operate a lighting system, make costumes, or help on front of house, then please put your name forward.
Chaperones / Helpers
Without your generous support we would not be able to stage any productions. Please put your name down to help with rehearsals.
