26/04/2017 Meditation classes to start at Limelight Studios

**NEW** Meditation Norwich with Ian Bentley

Starts 29th June 2017 – Thursdays 7.15-8.45pm

Limelight are pleased to welcome Ian to the studios towards the end of June, 2017. An exciting addition to our already busy group of “regular users”. With mindfulness being a key word these days, this new class joins us at just the right time. Find out more about the classes and about Ian Bentley……

“Learn how to observe the natural breath in order to experience inner peace and to change negative thought patterns.

The purpose of technique, referred to by Patanjali as Prana Samyama, is to bring balance and harmony to the mind. In the long term it has the power to transform negative mind patterns leading to profound peace and happiness. Meditation on the natural breath is central to Yoga and Buddhist systems, as well as to contemporary mindfulness models.

The course offers the opportunity to learn and practice the technique in a focused and sustained way over 8 weeks with the support of an experienced and certified Traditional Yoga teacher to guide you through the progressive stages and answer any questions that may arise. It is taught in the tradition of Patanjali, through a series of guided meditations by Dr. Kumar, maintaining a direct link to the original instructions and scriptures in which they have been preserved for centuries.”

Ian will lead the course and is a trained and certified Traditional Yoga meditation teacher who will be able to answer questions and offer guidance for your home practice.

Please note that the sequential steps of the technique will be taught each week so it is advisable to attend all eight classes.

Ian was drawn to yoga to help manage a long standing lower back pain, from there Ian developed a deeper interest into the broader benefits of yoga. This has led to a desire to learn more and share the benefits of both yoga and meditation. In the autumn of 2017 Ian will be qualified to teach yoga and wanted to support this with the meditation teacher training provided by Traditional yoga.

Ian lives in Norwich and works in the fast-paced world of operational management in an NHS hospital. Ian has developed his meditation and yoga practice to help manage his challenging role and this has inspired him to share yoga and meditation to help others be the best version of themselves.
