02/01/2019 Singing and acting – New Year, New Opportunities

Happy New Year! 2019 brings new opportunities for singing and acting with the Limelight Theatre Company’s summer term performance.

Date announced for the first sing through

Zelda Rolfe has secured the services of pianist Laura Western for a “sing-through” on Sunday 6th January 2019, of our forthcoming summer term production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s award-winning musical Cats. We will be performing at The Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich.

Singing your heart out

Sunday will be an opportunity for everyone who is interested in performing in Cats, to experience the songs for the first time. Songs such as The Rum Tum Tugger, The Jellicle Ball, Mr Mistoffelees and of course the wonderful Memory to transport you to the Junkyard of the Jellicles.

Singing open to all

This initial sing through is open to anyone below the age of 21. All Limelight Theatre Company members are encouraged to attend, as Zelda would like as many of her students as possible to be included this year. We also invite non-members to attend if they are interested in performing as part of this production. Full details below.

I came to see Matilda last weekend – and I wanted to let you know how brilliant I thought it was! Miss Trunchbull stole the show for me – I loved her accent so much, and her mannerisms, can’t say enough good words… well done Finn 🙂 I laughed so much. That said, everyone else was brilliant too – the clever staging too – I loved every bit of it – thank you all so much 🙂 top notch show – please keep making more fabulous shows! 🙂
